I was a bit curious about the background of those of us who call ourselves polyamorous, and so I decided to do a bit of research. I wanted to know the percentage of people who called themselves polyamorous after experiencing relationship abuse of some sort. - The results are rather interesting.

"Two thirds of respondents reported their prior relationships resulted in them feeling controlled and harmed while over half experienced domestic violence and coercive control."
